Studio Calls

Roadmap

What Studio Calls does today, and what we'd like it to do next. Most of it started as a request from an artist.

Live now

  1. No. 1

Open calls that fit your work

Fresh research every morning, matched to your medium, your places, and what you'll pay to enter. Pay-to-play calls are filtered out.

  2. No. 2

    Your schedule, your time zone

Every day, weekdays, the days you pick, weekly, or monthly, at the hour you choose.

  3. No. 3

    Places with a distance

Add the cities you show in, each with how far you'll go, plus statewide, national, or international calls.

  4. No. 4

    My calls

Every open call we've sent you and every past email in one place, with a printable PDF.

  5. No. 5

    Save and track applications

Save a call in one tap, then follow it from applying to accepted, with reminders before saved calls close.

  6. No. 6

    Your application kit

Keep your bio, statement, CV, and portfolio images ready, and see what each call asks for at a glance.

  7. No. 7

    A statement for each call

A first draft of your statement fitted to the call and its word limit, written from your own words, for you to edit.

Coming later

  1. No. 1

    Open calls from Instagram

Plenty of galleries only post their calls on Instagram. We'll read the accounts we follow, flyers included, and add their calls to your emails, after we've checked them by hand.

  2. No. 2

    Watch your galleries

For subscribers: name the Instagram accounts you follow, and we'll watch them for open calls too.

  3. No. 3

    Apply-assist

We fill in the application form with your kit. You check everything and press submit yourself.

  4. No. 4

    Email submissions, sent for you

For calls that take entries by email, we put together and send your packet once you approve it.
